Organizations from Hungary (Hungarian Energy Efficiency Institute MEHI), Slovakia (Buildings for the Future B4F), Czech Republic (Chance for Buildings Ch4B), and Poland (Polish Green Building Council PLGBC) have joined forces under the PERCEE project (Prioritizing Energy Renovation in the CEE countries) to drive the implementation of the revised EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
The project aims to support national decision-makers by delivering tailored policy briefs and practical guidance adapted to the context of the region.
In its initial phase, the PERCEE project identified good practices and building renovation frameworks across the region. Each partner is now developing a policy brief focused on a specific EPBD priority area:
- Financing of energy renovations
- Mitigating information barriers
- Whole-life carbon requirements
- Decarbonization of heating
These individual briefs will be synthesized into a unified report and will be available in English as well as in national languages.
As part of the project, a series of workshops is being organized to consult the project’s assumptions and preliminary findings with experts and stakeholders from across the region. These interactive sessions are designed to ensure that the final recommendations are grounded in practical experience and reflect the diverse needs of CEE countries.
