The Hungarian Energy Efficiency Institute (MEHI) has been working to promote domestic building renovations for ten years. As the domestic partner organization of the Renovate Europe Campaign, we are committed to successfully organizing the 2024 Renovate Europe Day (ReDay). Starting this year, we aim to organize the Hungarian Building Renovation Day in addition to the European event, thus helping the matter of energy efficiency move forward among the priorities of the domestic energy policy. The main theme of this year’s 2024 conference is energy efficiency renovations, many of its sub-themes will be covered in plenary lectures and parallel professional sessions.
The aim of the Renovate Europe Campaign is to draw the attention of European and national decision-makers to energy-efficient building renovations and to the wide economic and social benefits offered by investments in their renovation. The campaign therefore collects and shares local, regional and national practical experiences, good examples, and helps its members with professional materials and a network of contacts. The organization’s biggest event is ReDay, held every year in autumn.
Since 2011, the Renovate Europe Campaign (REC), launched by the international energy efficiency professional organization Efficient Buildings Europe, has been organizing the European Renovation Day (ReDay) every year. The event, which has been organized in Brussels for more than 10 years, has been organized since last year by the member state holding the successive presidency of the Council of Europe, so the 2023 ReDay was organized in the Spanish capital, Madrid.
The 2024 event will be hosted by Hungary.
